十六强冲出重围 | 中国壁球公开赛今起激战浦江畔


中国壁球公开赛第二天就和第一天一样令人激动。在预选赛最后一轮看到几个重大的变化，包括两名香港顶级男子选手的落败和两名埃及选手预选赛的出线。 The second day of the China Squash Open was just as exhilarating as the first. The final round of the qualifiers saw a couple of major upsets, including the defeat of both of Hong Kong’s top men’s players and both Egyptian qualifiers reach the main draw.


Zahed Mohamed排除万难，拼尽全力用四局令人印象深刻的比赛将香港公开赛半决赛选手Max Lee击败。尽管先失一局，埃及年轻人做出了强有力的反超，控制了接下来的三局。 Zahed Mohamed, against all odds, managed to trump over Hong Kong Open semi-finalist Max Lee in an impressive four game match. Despite being one game down, the Egyptian youngster made a strong comeback and controlled the game for the remainder of the match.

Mohamed Abouelghar of Egypt had made an impressive comeback against Paul Coll of New Zealand despite being two to one down, also being two points down in the crucial moments of the last game meant that the Egyptian had to push himself even more.

Mexico’s top player Cesar Salazar had also advanced into the main draw, after narrowly securing a victory against the top Malaysian player Nafiizwan Adnan in a close five game match.


比赛的关键是在第四局比赛中，Salazar在这局最后一刻还落后一分。看起来Adnan完全控制住了局势，手握两个赛点，他已站在战胜更高级别种子选手的边缘。 The crux of the match came in the fourth game, where was down a point in the final moments of the set. It looked like Adnan had full control, and being two one up, he was on the brink of upsetting a higher seeded player.

在女子方面，埃及的预选赛选手已经进入了公开赛的主赛。Heba El Torky用三局比赛快速地解决了来自威尔士Tesni Evans。 On the Women’s side, both of the Egyptian qualifiers had made it into the main draw of the tournament. Heba El Torky quickly dispatched Tesni Evans of Wales in a quick three game match.


她的同胞Salma Hany Ibrahim击败了比利时一号种子选手Nele Gilis，也是一个相对快速的四局比赛，领先于所有埃及四位预选赛选手率先通过了资格赛阶段的比赛。 Her compatriot Salma Hany Ibrahim upset the Belgian number one Nele Gilis also in a relatively quick four game match, leading to all four Egyptian qualifiers making it past the qualifying stages of the tournament.


其他两场资格赛还是挺无悬念的。来自印度的Dipika Pallikal Karthik对阵美国的Olivia Blatchford，香港的Joey Chan对决马来西亚的Low Wee Wern，均干脆利落3:1结束战斗，为预选赛画上圆满句号。 The other two qualifying matches were quite straightforward. Two quick 3-1 matches from Dipika Pallikal Karthik of India against Olivia Blatchford of the USA and Joey Chan of Hong Kong against Low Wee Wern of Malaysia helped end the qualifying rounds of the China Squash Open 2016.
