风起云涌 | 2016中国壁球公开赛今日拉开战幕


中国壁球公开赛的第一天平稳地拉开序幕。当最初的比赛在下午开打时，SECA浦东中心热闹繁忙起来。中心的主要两个壁球场都被使用，每个场地的看台上都几乎不间断地坐满了人。第一轮资格赛就看到许多球员在他们的巅峰状态下比赛。 The first day of the China Squash Open kicked off with a smooth start. When the first matches were played in the afternoon, the SECA Pudong Center was bustling with action. Two of the main courts in the center were used, and the bleachers for each of them were almost constantly filled. The first qualifying round saw many players play at the zenith of their game.



比赛是非常简单的，很少有任何乱子，但有几个比分非常接近的局让人提起兴趣。一天过去了一半我才到达现场，中心仍然挤满了渴望观看一些世界顶级球员发挥的人。 The matches were quite straightforward, and rarely were there any upsets, but a couple of close games helped entertain the crowd. I arrived around halfway through the day, when the center was still jam-packed with people eager to watch some of the world’s top players play.

The most notable game I saw was the match between two Malaysian teammates Nafiizwan Adnan and Ivan Yuen.



Adnan拼尽全力在五局比赛时结束了对决。每一场比赛看上去都势均力敌, 胜负在两个球员之间摇摆不定。 Adnan had managed to close the match after five games. Each game seemed like it could have gone to either side, with the momentum constantly swaying back and forth between the two players.

Those two shots decided the game, as Yuen had lost his momentum and gave Adnan many opportunities to hit winning shots.
